JD Drains Ltd Reading

JD Drains Ltd is a drainage solutions company founded by Joe, an experienced drainage engineer. It provides drainage services to domestic and commercial clients across the South of England. The company is fully insured to the value of 5 million and holds NRSWA (New Roads & Streetworks Act) accreditation. It is Safe Contractor Approved and on the Street works qualifications register.

JD Drains is a member of CHAS (Contractors health and safety assessment scheme) and the Water Jetting Association. It is ATEX Zone One Approved and its staff are Confined Space Trained. For drain unblocking, it uses rodding, high pressure jetting, and CCTV survey methods. Commercial clients include Gracelands Ltd, Buzz Gym, Haines Hill Estate and Wentworth estates. Main services include drain unblocking, cleaning, repairs, root cutting, tanker services, drain lining, and CCTV surveys.

JD Drains Ltd Reading handles septic tank servicing, waste water and sewage treatment, and broader waste management for households around the area, and the accounts that recur describe a responsive, practical and considerate operation. Several customers highlight how swiftly calls are answered and how soon someone arrives, with one household recalling a tank emptied and a blockage cleared within hours of making contact, and another describing a jetting unit and two operatives clearing a stubborn private drain.

An aspect raised across a number of reviews is the advice given before any work is booked, including one instance where a customer was told a CCTV survey would be unnecessary and offered other suggestions instead. Named staff appear regularly, with Ryan Chalkley praised for draining a tank and Joe and Troy singled out as helpful and knowledgeable on a call-out.

Several accounts note clear communication by phone and text, tidy workmanship and pricing that felt fair, including guidance that helped a customer clear a blockage without a large call-out charge. Urgent situations, such as a full cess pit and blocked drains, are described as resolved without fuss, and the same practical help extended to a household with medical needs requiring daily machine washing. Septic tank surveys were also arranged at short notice when required.
