First thing to say is that the technician who ultimately resolved our issue was very competent, friendly, quick and worked with care to resolve our issue. The one star review is of the company for the really poor communication - there seems to be a culture from the Manager down of not calling back with updates as promised - and for initially sending someone who did not have the skills, experience or temperament to do the job. We raised the work request for a blocked drain on a Friday at 8am through Your Repair who assigned the job to Lanes Edinburgh depot that morning. It took repeated calls to Your Repair and Lanes on my part to get a callout which was not until Tuesday evening at 8.30pm. The person who came didn't appear to know how to use the equipment, made a mess both inside and out, and made the situation worse by removing the seal between inside and outside drains. He left and we found that water was coming in to the subfloor, I called out of hours number and was told there wasn't anyone who could attend that evening. I called Wednesday morning and they said they had no-one to come until Thursday, then when I escalated the situation to a manager an experienced engineer came out and was able to sort the blockage with minimal mess and reseal the connection. We got to a good result in the end but this company needs to look closely at who it's sending out and how it manages communication.
