East Midlands Drains

Households across Beeston and the wider Nottingham area have called on East Midlands Drains for blocked and overflowing drains, and the accounts left behind by those customers form a mixed record. Praise centres on how quickly the firm responds: customers writing about their orders describe engineers arriving within a quarter of an hour of a call, clearing a blockage inside an hour and even returning the following day to finish the work.

Several accounts note a friendly, efficient manner, with explanations of the fault given before and after the job, and the mess cleared away once the drain was running freely. Against this sit recurring complaints. One customer reports making an appointment three days in advance only for nobody to arrive and no calls to be answered, and another describes a booked visit at which little work was carried out and a charge still sought.

A further account recounts a drain that was not fully cleared because a manhole could not be reached, with debris pushed along rather than removed rather than a jet wash used, and payment requested despite the incomplete result. The pattern that emerges is of capable, fast drainage work when the visit goes ahead, undermined by inconsistency in attendance and follow-through.
