Metro Rod (Northern Scotland)

I called Metro Rod Ellon last Sunday to clear a blocked drain. Never turned up. I phoned again and rebooked for Monday at 5. Guy turned up at 11. I told him it was booked for 5 and he was clearly not happy. I phoned the call centre again. No answer. Left messages over next three days. No reply. Absolutely hopeless. I went somewhere else. Avoid this company.

Good news: last evening, at 17:30 a tanker arrived and the driver and his engineer quickly sucked out our septic tank and jetted the outlet pipework clear. Bad news: this was the third date I'd been given, a week after the 1st one. I'd been assured that we were first in line yesterday. The driver, however, told me I'd ALWAYS been 4th in his list of jobs which were done in an order that, quite reasonably, minimized his mileage. I had become so frustrated with being told things that didn't happen that I cancelled the job at 16:50 - and was shortly after rung by the tanker driver. This fiasco would have been much more difficult if one of us had had to be off work in order to be onsite here. So its 'never again Metrorod' for me.

The Metro guys showed up on time and had the blocked drains cleared in no time, they then used the camera to show that the old clay drain pipes had been displaced and were causing the drain to bock, as we'd previously had it cleared just over a year ago. Waiting on quotes now to get the drain replaced. Very happy with the service on site.

Took months to process an insurance inspection on a septic tank . Sent one guy out initially, then had to send another out to re-do the whole inspection.

Jim and Stephan were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They showed us the problem and explained the work involved to repair the damage. When the job was completed they did a test to make sure everything was in working order and tidied up before leaving. We now have a fully functioning bath, shower and hand basin. Thank you both very much.
