I was originally going to have a new water line installed from the main into the house. The price was very fair, but my real issue was the bathroom shower suddenly switching from hot to stone‑cold. Several contractors had told me it was a water‑pressure problem, but Ian immediately felt that wasn’t the case. At the last minute, instead of taking the job and charging me, Ian stopped and said he wanted a second opinion. Another plumber came out, checked the boiler‑to‑shower pipework, and found the real cause: the copper pipe run to the shower control bar was too short. It was overheating and triggering the hot‑water safety shutdown. He replaced it with a longer looped pipe, and the problem was finally solved — something that had been happening since I moved in on 29‑12‑2025. This company could have taken the job and the money, but they didn’t. They acted with honesty, professionalism, and real respect for the customer. From the call centre to the contractor, everyone was polite and supportive. They even lost money by doing the right thing. Highly recommended. Outstanding service.
Originally had lead pipes replaced they did an excellent efficient service.On return to connect our new pipes Ian told me that the external tap chamber was not put in correctly. He suggested I contact United Utilities who have inspected it and are going to redo the chamber. Thanks to Ian hopefully we have had a proper job completed by United Utilities
I had my old lead water pipe replaced. It was a great process, I initially spoke with Emma who outlined what details they needed to give me a quote and took the time to ensure I understood everything about the job. They had extra questions around drainage and wanted to ensure I got the correct quote which I spoke with Ian about to ensure full clarity of the job. The Job was much quicker than I expected and I can see why using the mole is the go to. They kept me updated during the work and spoke with me before making decisions. If you want high quality work done by trustworthy experts they are the the goto. Would 100% recommend the entire process was great.
